Heat Diffusion Plate System
Floortec Heat Diffusion System has been designed for conventional timber joisted floors (typical 1st floor level) as well as solid floors, with battens fixed to the floor as an alternative to Vogel & Noot compact radiators. The system uses aluminium plates which are fitted between the joists or battens; these are grooved to take the Floortec underfloor heating pipe which is tightly gripped within the plates ensuring optimal heat transfer. The aluminium plate is designed to diffuse the heat over the floor area due to its excellent thermal conduction as well as its low weight. The floor avoid beneath the plate should be insulated with either loose fill insulation or a mineral wool insulation to stop excess heat loss.
